Yehi Tower
At the meeting point between the city and the forest, in front of the picturesque scenery of the Ein-Karem neighborhood, with thousands of dunams of valleys and forests to the west and panoramic views towards the city and the Judean Desert to the east, Yehi Tower repaints the urban future of Jerusalem, the most unique city in the world.
The project’s location is situated between the city’s neighborhoods and the picturesque Ein-Karem village, with its recreation and tourism centers, is a unique landmark that tells the future of the city of Jerusalem.
The project is strategically located at the heart of the national and historical heritage sites of Israel and the city of Jerusalem. It tells the story of the rise of the Jewish people in Israel and joins the national memorial and heritage sites “Yad Vashem”, the Mount Herzl Military Cemetery, and the Nation’s Great Plot.
With them, the tower symbolizes the rise of Israel and the strength of the nation-state of the Jewish people.
The project includes tens of thousands of feet used for housing, a hotel, and commerce and public buildings.
The design is carried out by the world-leading architectural firm, Gordon Gill + Adrian Smith. The firm specializes in designing sustainable towers that respect the environment and community, with an impeccable record of planning and executing 48 architectural creations in 28 of the most important cities in the world, including the Jeddah tower in Saudi Arabia, the Central Park tower in New York, the Dancing Dragons towers in Seoul and of course the Burj Khalifa tower in Dubai.
The unique creation has iconic architectural features, which grow organically from the valley; its shape symbolizes a book with folded pages, rising and open in prayer towards the sky.
The work provides a raised podium that descends gradually along the edges of the valley. Through gentle paths for pedestrians, grows a tower situated in the existing urban fabric.
This integrates access to nature and landscape for visitors, residents of the surrounding area, and the tower tenants.
The project is characterized by the use of a palate of smart and layered materials that combine a minimalistic contrast of classic Jerusalem stone and glass, while creating balance and connection between progress and the city’s unique architectural heritage.
The creation is committed to the highest standard of preserving the environment and natural values, which will result in a savings of 26% in energy consumption and 33% in water consumption through the use of sustainable and environmental materials. This will benefit the project and its public areas for the sake of preserving the environment and out of the responsibility for future generations.
The landscape planning includes viewpoints, balconies, gardens, a sculpture garden, and vertical gardens for the well-being of the tenants and the public, in a way that complements the picture and creates subtle transitions between nature and everyday life.
The public space in the project will combine an art museum and an amphitheater that will act as a platform for cultural and commercial events, as well as serve the public in a unique location at the core of the city’s Zionist and historical heritage.
The public areas will lead to a renewal of the area and the creation of a new unique urban space – a vibrant Jerusalem centre – joining the list of unique and iconic sites in the capital of Israel.
Residents of the Yehi tower will have the privilege of waking up to a limitless view and enjoy the peace of mind that comes from a service provided to the tower by an international hotel management company – which will offer the most advanced hotel facilities and luxurious concierge services.
In addition, the residents will enjoy exceptional accessibility to all parts of the city, the city centre, Mahane Yehuda Market, and the Old City, as well as easy access to Ein-Karem Road, Epstein Road, and Kiryat Ha’yovel Street, via the light rail located across the road.
The project offers its residents and visitors to take a deep breath from the pure mountain air of the city of Jerusalem, a city that lives in our hearts.
